20th Anniversary ~ Exhibition at hospitals
The year of 2004 marked the 20th anniversary of chaplaincy service offered in public hospital. lFrom September to November 2004, exhibitions were held at 23 hospitals introducing the development of chaplaincy service and our ministry in hospitals. Many Hospital Chief Executives, nursing and administrative as well as management staff visited our exhibition stands and took photos with our chaplaincy staff.
20th Anniversary ~ Walking up to the Space of Love
From September to November 2004, four seminars were held in four clusters of Hong Kong with an aim of enhancing the relationship between the Chaplaincy offices and local churches. The seminars were attended by 402 people (from 182 churches) including church pastors, deacons, chaplaincy committee members and church believers etc.
20th Anniversary ~Thanksgiving Banquet
The Thanksgiving Banquet was held on the evening of November 29 at the ballroom of Miramar Hotel. There were 64 tables with over 700 guests including top management from various hospitals, church leaders, all of the hospital chaplaincy committees and chaplaincy staff. Apart from giving thanks to the Lord, we have also presented awards to those who have made contributions to chaplaincy service in the past 20 years.
Joint Walkathon 2004
The Joint Walkathon 2004 was held on October 31 (Sunday), 2004 at Ying Wah College. The walkathon was combined with the Volunteers Award presentation ceremony of 20th Anniversary program. Dr. Ko Wing-man was invited to give a speech and present the Volunteer Awards. In addition, two artists, Ms. Chi Law-lin and Ms. Mary Hon shared their experience in visiting and caring for patients. Around 500 people attended and 253 volunteers received awards, including those who have served for over 10 years. All volunteers were given a handbook and all of them pledged for their commitment in patient caring.
The Spiritual Concert "From Summer to Spring, Great is Thy Faithfulness"
The Spiritual Concert “From Summer to Spring, Great is Thy Faithfulness” was held on October 6, 2004 at the auditorium of Kwai Tsing Theatre. The concert made use of the theme “summer, autumn, winter and spring” to illustrate the faithfulness of God through different music, songs, dances and projections etc.
Seminar "Series II of Not too late: How to help those who have addicted behaviour"
The seminar “Series II of Not too late: How to help those who have addicted behaviour” was held on June 15, 2004. Over 100 people attended the seminar. Through the sharing of psychiatric specialists including Dr. Mak Ki-yan, Dr. Sam Hau-yan and Dr. Samuel Lai, church pastors, chaplains and church counseling workers have a better understanding of the addict behaviour, which is useful to help those who are “Shopaholic”.
